Resources for gardeners This is an eclectic list of plant suppliers, listed regionally which members may find useful when planning a plant search outing! The list is confined to areas which can be reached in a day's outing , therefore does not include suppliers in the far reaches of our province. The list focuses on family-owned businesses each of which was recommended. The list is in no way complete and if you have other recommendations, they could be added to the list. Every effort was made to contact the supplier directly to ensure correct information. In other cases individual websites or google searches were relied upon for information. Please note we cannot assume responsibility for plant viability or misinformation. Complete driving directions to specific sites are usually included in individual websites. It is highly recommended you check those websites for updated information. Some businesses offer discounts to garden club members. If you dont see it mentioned in these listings, you could always ask. We are currently doing some "landscape design" on the nursery lists, so please be patient while we re-create them! because they are being cut and pasted, there may be some confusing bits! Our keynote speaker will once again be Niki Jabbour - speaking on a new, timely topic, to be announced soon! We are booking our vendors and additional speakers to round out the day. Policy on Donating Printed Material, Plants or other items at Gardening Club Meetings: We welcome the sharing of printed material on gardening topics - such as magazines, seed catalogs, interesting handouts or pictorial material, and the sharing of seeds, seedlings, cuttings, pots and so on. Please place these items on (or under, in the case of large items) the table provided at the front of the meeting space. The presence of free materials will be mentioned by the Meeting Chairperson. Before you leave, please remove any remaining items so that those tidying the meeting room don't have to evaluate and re-cycle or otherwise dispose of these things. Please don't bring things that are musty or dirty - as people may have allergies, and we are using a multi-purpose facility.

Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings! SMBGC Policies Policy on Event Notices Directed to Club Members From SMBGC or it's members. (Subject to the availability of a VOLUNTEER to do this, the Executive may maintain a Calendar of Events on the SMBGC website. At this time, the Calendar of Events is not being maintained and you will note it is not in the main website menu.) When time or personnel are available, efforts will be made to keep this up-to-date but we do not accept responsibility for inclusion or accuracy of activities that are not SMBGC sponsored. Club events of note will be listed on the HOME PAGE of this site. The NSAGC keeps quite thorough event listings, and their link is on our home page. Please carefully check details such as dates,times and locations (including a contact number) before driving to an event. Personal notices from PAID members of private plant sales and other GARDENING RELATED notices must be sent to the MEMBERSHIP CHAIR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS prior to the event date. Occasionally (approximately the middle of each month of the year) a Club Notice will be sent to members, in which notices received up to that time will be mentioned.
